Longtime US Ski Team supporter Thom Weisel will be one of eight athletes and sports builders inducted into the US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame’s Class of 2017. Weisel will be inducted in April of 2018 at an event hosted at Squaw Valley, where the 1960 Olympic Winter Games were held.

Weisel has worked with the US Ski Team for over four decades. Since the 1970s, he has provided leadership and financial support that has impacted over 200 Olympic and World Championship medals.

According to US Ski and Snowboard President and CEO Tiger Shaw, “Thom Weisel’s financial support of the team has been pivotal. But even more than that has been his constant presence and leadership. During dire times in the 80s, he kept the team afloat. And he remains as engaged today as he was during my tenure on the team.”

Inductees were chosen by a national voting panel and will be honored during a week of celebration from April 12-15 at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows.
